If you arrive off season some youth are probably meeting you and offers you a place to stay. Most of the accommodation, taverns and other useful service such as travel agency are found in Stavrós, the village by the port.
When I arrived to Donoússa early Tuesday morning at 01.30, a girl called Maria took care of the six non-Greek travellers and led us through the dark Stavrós night. At the end of the village she offered me a double room with shared bathroom. It was simple but served its purpose and was extremely cheep, only 2000 GRD (€ 6).
A Swedish couple I met on the island stayed in a nice room in Pension Sofia, which you find after passing the small beach in middle of the village.
On my return to Donoússa I stayed at Iliovasilema rooms owned by Sigalas Christos, Tel: 22850-51570, Fax: 22850-51607 Mobile: 694-2269219. Well, I'm not sure this pension has a name, but the related family tavern nearby have this particular name, see next section. This place is also situated at the hill after the beach. I stayed in the simplest type of rooms with shared veranda. The room is reasonable with private bath and refrigerator. The veranda has a pleasant view over the sea some 30 metres away. This pension has a total of 12 rooms to offer, which of a few are studios. People tend to return to this pension year after year.
