• Introduction

During all years I have only been staying in four different accommodations, of which I mention two below. But there are a lot more to choose on the island.

However the number of beds are limited during the main season which means that if you want to visit the island from mid July until the end of August you must order a room in advance.

• Pavlo's rooms

As I mentioned before, I have been staying at a pension called Pavlo's, during my stays at Folégandros from 1994 to 1998. During this period the pension were run by Stratos and Anna. I think it's is a place with a cheerful atmosphere.

There are mainly two kinds of rooms to choose from. First a simpler, built in former stables with shared facilities. The second type is with private bathroom.

• Hotel Polikandia

My friends, Stratos and Anna, with their children Maria and Alexandros did run Hotel Polikandia from 1999 until 2004.

This hotel is nice situated in Chora with a particular nice garden with many trees and flowers where you can sit and relax in the shadow during a hot day and maybe read a book (I like that). There a also two nice roof terraces, where you have a beautiful view in different directions.

Inside there are 31 stylish rooms with refrigerator, telephone, ceiling fan and music. There is also a dining room offering a rich breakfast. It's a wonderful experience to have the breakfast out in the lovely garden.
