Introduction

I did visit Ándros for a week, in August 1992.

The island doesn't need independent travellers, and it can be nearly impossible to get a room during high season. My accommodation, in the village of Batsí, was arranged from home.

This was the first time I travelled alone, and I kind of liked it. You can be independent and do as you want. On the other hand, you don't have anyone to immediately share your experiences with. And it could be quit boring to have dinner on your own at nights. But anyhow, I have continued travelling by my self to Greece, these last years.
