The year of 1993 was the first time at went to Greece as a back packer. I was spending two weeks late July, early August on the islands of Amorgós and Náxos.

It was in the middle of the main season, as most people in Greece are having holidays during this period. This means that it's more difficult to get any accommodation, and prices are much higher. On some so-called 'Greek Islands', where the Greeks themselves like to visit, it's almost impossible to get a room, during the main season! I didn't know about these things, at that time, but my stay in Greece was, despite of this troubles, a lovely experience.
