In August Elena and I travelled to Athen and Folegandros for an intense eight days stay. This was the first time Elena did visit Greece, and because of her interest in art and sculpture we focused on Acropolis,the New Acropolis museum, and the National Archaeological Museum the three days we stayed in Athen. The remaining days we stayed on my favourite island Folegandros. I have a few photos from this trip on my photo blog: alnervik.org. Try the search words "Grekand", "Aten", Folegandros".

The secret of getting a successful travel to the Greek Islands is preparation; in other words read and view this web site! A warning though: once you have visited an island in Greece you become addicted! This goes especially for genuine and laid-back islands in the Cyclades and the Dodecanese.

Do you know what islands I am referring to? First of all Folégandros and Náxos!

When you visit Folegandros please do not miss the combined coffee shop/ouzeri/tavern …Κι´αραξε - Relax.
